Isn't professional automation expensive?
A KNX system for a 3 BHK starts around ₹8–12 lakhs — roughly 0.5% of a ₹2 crore home's value. Consumer smart home systems cost ₹55,000–2.7 lakhs but need replacement every 5–7 years as companies shut down or platforms change. KNX installations from 20 years ago are still running today on the same hardware.
What if your company or the device manufacturer shuts down?
KNX is an open ISO standard — 500+ certified manufacturers produce compatible devices. Any KNX-certified technician in the world can service your system. We hand over full programming files and documentation at commissioning. You are never dependent on us specifically.
Does it work when the internet is down?
All local control — lights, AC, curtains, locks — runs on the automation bus inside your home. Internet is only needed for remote mobile access when you're away. Compare this to Alexa, which stops responding when Amazon's servers go down.
Is this only for new construction?
No. KNX wired systems suit new builds where conduit can be run during construction. For retrofits, we use Zigbee, Z-Wave, or Tuya — wireless protocols that don't require opening walls. We specify what's right for your project, not what's easiest to install.
Can I still use Alexa or Google Home?
Yes. KNX, Zigbee, and Z-Wave can all integrate voice assistants as an additional control layer. The difference: voice assistants are a convenience interface on top of a reliable system — not the system itself.
